Song
Chicago born and raised, Song is passionate about sustainable architecture. He is a senior currently studying environmental science at Knox College, a liberal arts college in Galesburg, IL. He aims to go into an architecture graduate program. He is also a TRIO student and a McNair Scholar.
He is creative with a deep interest in cultural identity and physical spaces. From August to December of 2021, he decided to travel to Copenhagen and participate in DIS – Study Abroad for Scandinavia for this interest and document his trip there.
The semester abroad looks different from usual semesters because of the pandemic. Nonetheless, Copenhagen has a lot to offer. While many places are beginning to open up and restrictions have been essentially lifted, this semester is still full of precautions.
His core class for the semester is Architectural foundations. His elective courses are Sustainable by Design, Geographic Info Systems: Applied Climate Change Cases, and Danish Language and Culture I.
